Technology

Interacting with and learning from technology is an integral part of our society and at Franklin we strive for all of our students to learn with computers daily in a meaningful way.

With the support of Friends of Franklin and parent and teacher volunteers, every classroom at Franklin has a variety of technology at their disposal.

Kindergarten:

Each classroom has 6 Kindle Fire Kids tablets and 1-2 Apple iMac computers.

1st and 2nd grades:

Each classroom has 6 Kindle Fire Kids tablets and 4 Apple iMac computers.

3rd grade:

Each classroom has 4 Apple iMac computers and the grade level shares an iPad cart with 35 iPads (daily each room receives 8-9 iPads).

4th and 5th grades:

Each classroom has 6-8 Apple iMac computers. The 4th and 5th grades share a Google Chromebook cart with 104 Chromebooks and an iPad cart with 35 iPads.  Daily each classroom receives 6-8 Chromebooks and 6-8 iPads for student use.

Teachers:

We have a Macbook cart with roughly 20 laptops that teachers throughout the school share as needed. Additionally, each teacher has an iPad, a laptop and a projector.
